Based on the demand and development trend of high-end smart TVs, a somatosensory game controller based on HID

 specifications is proposed, which is applicable to the design and implementation of intelligent remote controllers. Based on the analysis of various functional modules of the nifty remote controller, a hardware circuit scheme implemented by the somatosensory game controller is designed. According to a custom packet format, a software solution for implementing the somatosensory joypad with input and output functions on the RF transceiver side of the smart remote controller is described. The RF transceiver side of the smart remote controller and the television is described in detail. The communication process 

ultimately realizes the functions of the somatosensory joystick.

USB (UNIVERSAL SERIAL BUS) has the advantages of high speed, low cost, low power consumption, plug-and-play, and easy use and maintenance. With the gradual expansion of USB applications, USB devices are now not only connected to the computer peripherals. The device's standard input/output, it also becomes the standard input/output of smart TV connection peripherals. HID is an abbreviation of Human Interface Devices, which is a human-machine interface device. It is a machine class first proposed and supported by the USB protocol, and is also the most widely used type of USB device. Typical HID devices include a keyboard and a mouse. The USB serial bus specification specifically defines the HID specification as long as the device complies with the HID specification, which is the HID device. The operating system ships with a driver for HID. The user does not have to develop a cumbersome driver. This allows HID devices to establish communication with the operating system quickly and easily.

 

These benefits make HID devices have also been more and more widely used in the field of smart TVs. This paper is to study the design and implementation of six-axis somatosensory game controllers used in stylish remote controllers based on HID specifications.

 

The smart remote controller composes of two parts—RF transmitter and receiver (Dongle). The remote controller and the Dongle terminal use the RF communication protocol to communicate. The Dongle terminal connects to the TV through the USB interface. They utilize the USB protocol communication. According to the HID specification, an HID somatosensory joystick with input and output functions is simulated on the Dongle side to communicate with the TV through the USB protocol so that the remote controller and the somatosensory joystick are grouped into one.

 

After the Dongle side and the remote control side paired successfully, communication was made between them. The turning on and off of the somatosensory joystick function in the remote control is mainly achieved through the feedback information about the television. When pressing the somatosensory switch key on the remote control, the TV sends a feedback message immediately, so that the somatosensory switch on the remote control is illuminated, the somatosensory joystick function is turned on, and the user can use the remote controller to experience a somatosensory game. The TV cell is called according to the progress of the game. The sensor module, vibration module, and audio module in the remote controller realize the interaction between the remote controller and the television; when the somatosensory switch key on the remote controller is pressed, the television sends a feedback message to make the sensor switch indicator on the remote controller end off. Somatosensory joystick function is disabled.

 

The operation mode of the somatosensory game handles is mainly a key and a special action. In this system, the buttons required for the somatosensory joystick are multiplexed with the buttons of the remote controller itself, and the data of the special actions are translated into corresponding radio frequency transmitter keys. When there are distinct actions, they are sent out in the form of key keys. In addition, the special action function of the somatosensory joystick can be used to operate the TV portion of the glitzy TV. In the somatosensory joystick mode, the remote controller detects the swing of the left and right and the forward movement, and the next 4 by calculating the data of the sensor. The action can be used as a switching picture, music, etc. For example, fling to the right for the next song, fling to the left for the previous song, forward for the play pause, forward too quick exit.
